I don't know why Microsoft is pushing so bad on PowerShell. Windows 7 has it, yet I heard very little about it back then. Now all of a sudden this is some big freaking thing. Well, it is, to a hacker! You can create what is called a reverse shell using PowerShell.

Maybe they want to overtake Linux Terminal? LOL

Part of the reason they are pushing it is that they've expanded it to more platforms than just Windows. In the days of Win7, it was a Win7 specific product. Now, it supports Windows, Linux and MacOS (when it was made OS in 2016).

And we all know that Microsoft likes to push their own products over anything and everything.

Without being able to read their minds, I bet they want to do away with the command prompt, which is why they added the option in Windows settings to use PoSh.
