Silicon Labs Virtual COM Port (VCP) driver for Windows. I have an animal scanner built into a USB port. It shows a red light which then turns green after 30sec's. When I look into the computer files page the stick doesn't show. The error message says it is a code 10. Not accessing power.
It is charged and I downloaded the driver yesterday ( CP210xVCPInstaller_64.exe) when I clicked to install it installed the message says it is not supported by this product. The scanner has no labeling. Could anyone give me any ideas?

Power error could be the scanner needs a usb 3.0 port?

you could try looking at the products website and get a separate download to install too.

With the scanner plugged into your computer, go into Windows Device Manager and look for Ports (COM & LPT) to see if any device is connected - is the CP2102 device listed under that heading?

Because you said you cannot install device driver, then I suspect that COM ports are disabled in the computer's BIOS. Go into BIOS and look to see if it is possible to Enable COM ports.
