Browsers and Mail Change Theme in Microsoft Edge

Microsoft has adopted the Chromium open source project in the development of Microsoft Edge on the desktop to create better web compatibility. This new Microsoft Edge runs on the same Chromium web engine as the Google Chrome browser, offering you best in class web compatibility and performance.

The new Chromium based Microsoft Edge is supported on all versions of Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10, Windows Server (2016 and above), Windows Server (2008 R2 to 2012 R2), and macOS.

You can personalize Microsoft Edge with themes that change the look and feel of your browser and the new tab page to create beautiful and immersive visual experiences. Apply different themes to each profile to help you easily separate home, school, or work.

To add a splash of color to your tabs, address bar, and other parts of the browser, simply select any of the color swatches in the Theme section. Microsoft Edge comes with 14 built-in theme colors to fit your every mood, from various shades of gray to fun and playful colors. These themes are unique to each profile and are great for helping you quickly understand whether you’re in your personal, work, or school profile.

You can also add (install) custom themes from the Microsoft Edge Add-On Store and Chrome Web Store to personalize Microsoft Edge with an even wider range of themes. When you install a custom theme from a store, a new swatch for the theme will appear near the end of the theme list. As with the built-in theme colors, simply select Default or another color to remove or change your custom theme.

3 Click/tap on Appearance on the left pane. (see screenshot below step 4)

If you do not see a left pane, then either click/tap on the 3 bars menu button towards the top left OR widen the horizontal borders of the Microsoft Edge window until you do.

4 Click/tap on a Theme on the right side you want to use. (see screenshot below)

If you select Default or one of the 14 built-in theme colors, it will remove any current theme added from the Microsoft Edge Add-On Store and Chrome Web Store by default.

5 You can now close the Settings tab if you like.

That's it,
