Hello, I just installed a new WiFi/Bluetooth card in my rig. Now the WiFi part works great, but the bluetooth just doesn't, every device I try to connect sends and error and the adapter in Windows settings is marked with "Unknown driver".
I did check if it was enabled or not, it is. Downloaded the lated drivers from intel (the manufacturer of my card), tried uninstalling and reinstalling them many times, tried drivers from other manufacturers just because why not, but still the same problem remains.
I do think I've located the issue though and I'll give you everything I was able to troubleshoot so you can maybe help me deal with it. Firstly when I run the windows troubleshooter for bluetooth it says that is solves an error, but that doesn't help. The error it says it solves is "Verify Bluetooth adapter status" (roughly translated since my windows 10 is in french). I also tried different USB headers on my motherboard after I saw this thinking the one I plugged it in might be faulty but it didn't change anything.
I also noticed that with the intel bluetooth driver come three unknown drivers that give out an error, seemingly related to "Peripheral instance access path". So my guess is that those three drivers are supposed to deal with usb to card connectivity ? Anyways I'll put everything in screenshots with that thread.

My motherboard is a MSI-Z490-A-PRO if you need that information, but I really don't think it's a motherboard problem. So either it's those drivers or the bluetooth part of my card is faulty.

Thanks in advance for anyone using their time to help me :)

PS: sorry everything in the screenshots is in french. I can translate anything if needed

When you say they give you an error, do you mean they do not install? Does it comes with a single all in one installer package, or is it a .ZIP file that you have to extract and install manually?

It's a single all in one package I think. But when I say they give out an error I mean they show up as not working in device manager

I suggest you search for a driver for the bluetooth using this procedure
search for drivers by HardwareID - TenForums

Best of luck,
Denis
Thank you, I've tried scanning the drivers so I'd know what they're supposed to be and apparently they are supposed to be:
1- Microsoft Bluetooth LE Enumerator
2- Bluetooth Device (RFCOMM Protocol TDI)
3- Bluetooth Device (Personal Area Network)
Problem is I don't really know where to get them safely since it seems they aren't available on intel's manufacturer website anymore

You have not commented on the individual steps involved so I do not know what you have done.

You said, " the bluetooth … adapter in Windows settings is marked with "Unknown driver".". So that's the device in Device manager for which you should be seeking the HardwareID & the driver.

Yeah I tried to do that but I couldn't find it. The Intel Wireless bluetooth driver is installed though and seemingly operationnal but it doesn't work still. So I really think it's an issue caused by those three drivers which I'd guess are supposed to make the adapter communicate with my OS and/or devices I try to pair with
Or maybe the adapter isn't using the driver it's supposed to ? Can that happen ?

You said, " the bluetooth … adapter in Windows settings is marked with "Unknown driver"."

1 Where does it say that?

You said, "seemingly operationnal"

2 Where does it indicate that?

3 What is shown in Device manager within the groups
3.1 bluetooth
3.2 network adapters
3.3 other devices
[Just post screenshots like those in the link I gave you that show each section title & the list of devices within each one

4 Do any entries in any groups in Device manager show yellow warning triangles?

5 In a command window or powershell window, please run the command
systeminfo.exe
and copy the Network Card(s) section that is right near the end of the response.

1) First screenshot (translated directly to Driver unavailable)

2) Windows shows BT as a way to connect to devices when trying to connect.

3) They're in French - but the second part of 3 is the second screenshot (translated: Unknown device)

4) See second ss again.

So :

1 It indicates that in the bluetooth settings, where you're supposed to be able to pair devices and see which ones you already have

2 In device manager, the Intel Wireless Bluetooth driver is installed and doesn't have a triangle or question mark

3/4 the three devices with error triangles are in the "Other Devices" section but are linked to bluetooth when checking properties. In the bluetooth section there is Intel Wireless BLuetooth (with no error mark) and Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator (also no error mark)

5 As for system info, I ran the command and I get the wifi card info but there's no info about bluetooth, even though it's clearly recognized and available, even if not working.

[02]: Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX200 160MHz
Name : Wi-Fi 2
DHCP activated : YES
it has other stuff but it's just my IP and network adresses. No bluetooth in sight

I suggest that you:-
1 Go to Device manager, Bluetooth section & double-click on the Intel Wireless Bluetooth entry then select the Driver tab
2 Click on the Update driver button then Browse my computer for drivers then select Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer and then set Show compatible hardware.
3 From your earlier comments I suspect you might have choices so you might as well try each one. [It's easier for me because I just have a single entry there]
4.1 If this does not fix things then you could try doing steps 1-3 for each of that set of three entries [that you mentioned] in your Other devices section. I think you might have to have to go a step further to get a list of potential drivers for each one so unset the Show compatible hardware checkbox, select Microsoft in the list then choose Bluetooth device - Personal Area Network etc
4.2 If this does not fix things then I suggest going back to the Intel website where you got the WiFi driver and re-check that it does not also list a separate Bluetooth driver. Perhaps it is using Intel WiFi Bluetooth adapter as a general label and is actually offering you two separate entries
Intel WiFi Bluetooth adapter - WiFi driver
and
Intel WiFi Bluetooth adapter - Bluetooth driver

Best of luck,
Denis

It shows 22.30.0 as the latest for AX200 on the Intel page.

Yeah It's the Wifi driver, It's already up and running fine. It's bluetooth I have issues with
UPDATE !!!

Following Denis advice I downloaded a library of microsoft bluetooth drivers, like, a whole bunch of them and tried updating each errored driver but browsing it. Everything found a driver to install that works and now I can enjoy a fully working bluetooth expérience with my phone. Thanks to everyone who used time to help, this was really a learning experience haha

Oh and if anyone ever has the same kind of issue don't hesitate to contact me, I'll give you the driver's library I used to solve my problem ^^
